This week I’m truly thrilled to have my perfect friend Spencer Williams on the show!! She’s a (published ever heard of it) poet and very hilarious and smart which is honestly infuriating and yes, threatening to me. We’re talking about her formative fourth grade CRUSH/BULLY Dustin, AND Brian– a middle school OLDER STRAIGHT MUSICAL THEATER JOCK CRUSH. Much to discuss including: Dad pressure, Dance Dance Revolution romance, pre-Glee/“It Gets Better”/tiktok gay culture, naked dressing room body comparison, seeing who you really are in relation to a crush, desiring a version of someone, being seen is so horny, gender identity/lacking the language, being literally blinded by your emo-ness, seeking control, bullying vs negging, Spencer’s truly insane and cancelled MFA experiment, being anchored by a crush, and SO MUCH MORE!!
